What To Do With My Life?
Yesterday I came across a video of Steve Harvey where he was talking to the audience on Family Feud behind the scenes after taping or before taping does not matter.
I have no clue who recorded this or even where I found it when I was doing some research for my website but never the less it hit home.
Not just for me because I started my adventure into building my own online business ten months ago it has to do with what he had to say applies to every single person in the world.
Thinking about this all night and since I got up this morning I have been trying to find a proper title for this article. Honestly, this title has changed at least fifty times.
Explanation Of Why
At some point in our lives, we all have a revelation hit us. It could be a question of why we are here on earth then again it could be something simple like what to have for dinner.
Actually, I am talking about the bigger things that we constantly wonder about. Think about growing up your parents made the decisions for you so basically life was fairly simple.
Now you are the adult having to make the decisions about life. Many of us want to know what we should be doing with our lives because we are not happy with our current situation.
For me that was a major problem, not being happy with my current situation. Who can change it? According to Steve Harvey only “ME” I needed to take a chance on myself and jump.
Then realizing I did that ten months ago when I started my own online business, I was following exactly what he was advising his audience to do.
We are all born with talents that we must find inside ourselves and perfect. He explained that he has a friend who when they were in school all he did was cut grass every day after school and the weekends.
Today that friend owns a landscaping company in Ohio and makes $850,00.00 a year. Who would have thought that a young man started out after school cutting grass would end up owning his own company?
Talent was on his side he used what he was born with practicing to make his dream come true. You can do the same, of course, cutting grass might not be your talent.
What you need to do is take time to evaluate what your real talent in life is that you were born with. Ten months ago I would never have thought that I had a talent for writing articles for a website, but here I am!
Find Your Talent
How do you find your talent? Take an inventory of things you do work background, hobbies, skills you have mastered, new skills you are willing to learn and add to the list.
What did you really want to do when you grew up? My answer to that was, owning my own online business but I worked for thirty-three years before I am actually living my dream.
You do not need to quit your job to follow the dream that you have either. Incorporate a way to make it possible to set aside just one hour a day to work on making that dream come true.
Are you a stay at home mom or dad? A single mom or dad? Are you retired and looking for a way to fill your time? Are you a college student that is not happy? Working a dead-end job that you hate?
Look at ways that you can seriously change your life and make it the way you want it to be. Then take that chance and just jump into your dream.
When I began my website working online I wanted to help people that owned dogs, dogs are a part of my life. I do not remember more than possibly a year of my life without a dog in it.
Creating my dog website to help others with their animals was not only something that I enjoy, but it is also something that I am really good at.
After creating my dog website I realized how many people were looking for ways to make money online. With over 4 Billion Internet users and growing the possibilities are endless for doing this.
Use Your Talent
Did you know that only 1% of people who start an online business actually succeed? Why do the other 99% not? I can tell you why they give up or quit because they do not know what they are doing.
Starting a business takes money right? You are looking at risks along with possible failure with things barely stretching in your budget now.
What if you use the hobby that you enjoy and love to build your own online business? In reality, you do not really need a product or service to sell on your website.
This is called Affiliate Marketing meaning you will promote products and services from large corporations and companies on your website that fit into your hobby.
These corporations and companies will then pay you commissions for the products or services that people purchase from your website when they click on your affiliate link.
Simple, right? Sure does sound that way, but it is a bit more complicated than that. I am not saying that to discourage you from doing this type of work or from owning your own company online.
One thing you need to know is building an online business takes time and work there is no get-rich-quick way like all those scammers out there try talking you into. Sorry, there is no magic button on your keyboard to make you millions.
But if you seriously want to take that hobby you love and want to turn it into an online business that you can earn a passive income with then I can help you.
Steve Harvey made me realize that by writing this article I might be able to help some of you with that dream you have always had and put your talent to work for you.
Earn From Your Talent
Right now you probably have hundreds of questions running through your head. That is alright I will try to answer them and give you as much information so you can make the right decision for you.
Letting you know right now you are going to get many naysayers when you start out in an online business. People who are not aware of the kind of money to be made online. They do not believe it really works.
It all boils down to a process once you learn the process then it is just a matter of lather, rinse, repeat like washing your hair.
This does take time to learn the process and perfect it with your own style. Knowing you need at least a couple of years before you are going to see results that you really want is important.
A couple of years sounds like possibly a long time to most of you but for a successful business to take off this is really a very short period of time. Consider how long it takes brick and mortar businesses to show a real profit.
Factor into the equation of how much time you are going to be spending working on your business along with the actual niche that you are going to be promoting. Competition of other websites plays a role in how long you will see results too.
Writing high-quality keyword-rich content for on your website you need to use the proper keywords that people are searching for so the search engines will find it and rank it on their pages.
Writing? What’s that you say you are not a writer? I beg to differ with you. Can you talk? Do you send text messages? Then you can write, writing an article is communicating with other people on paper with words.
Look I do not want to waste time by giving you more information that will only cause more questions or confuse you even more than you are already 🙂
